Last updated on September 5th, 2020 at 08:37 am

Syokimau Residents Association has entered into a partnership with AAR Healthcare, with the aim of providing teenage school-going girls with high-quality sanitary towels free of charge.

AAR Healthcare is recycling waste paper collected from residents of Syokimau and turning it into high-quality sanitary towels. About 20 girls from the most needy families in Kicheko settlement have already benefited from the partnership.

Under the partnership, SRA will rally residents of Syokimau to provide the waste paper that they usually throw away. The papers are turned into pulp and then mixed with additives to produce high-quality sanitary towels through a process that adheres to all necessary health considerations.

The partnership is an initiative of the Syokimau Residents Association Welfare and Publicity committee. The partnership is intended to benefit all needy girls and women within our community.

Any resident who has old newspapers in their homes or offices now has the opportunity to be part of this very noble cause. Residents can deliver the waste paper to the SRA office or simply send a message to 0732634990 and SRA will call you back and make arrangements for collection.
