As a key player in enhancing the quality of life for Syokimau residents, the Syokimau Residents Association (SRA) prioritizes road safety and infrastructure development. Our theme, “Strengthening our roads, securing our future,” reflects our dedication to ensuring our roads are safe, durable and conducive for all users.
Our Approach to Road Security
One of our primary strategies is to maintain a strong relationship with key stakeholders including (KURA) and (KeNHA). We regularly engage with these agencies to report issues, request repairs and provide feedback on road conditions. By doing so, we ensure our concerns are heard and addressed promptly.
Limiting Heavy Trucks
A significant concern for our residents is the impact of heavy trucks on our roads. Vehicles over 10 tons pose a substantial risk to road safety and accelerate deterioration. To mitigate this, SRA advocates for restrictions on trucks exceeding this weight limit from using our roads. We believe this measure will not only enhance safety but also prolong the lifespan of our infrastructure.
