Syokimau Facts & Figures

To the west of Machakos, to the south of Nairobi and bordering Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is Syokimau, a residential area named after the legendary prophetess Syokimau.

Syokimau falls within Syokimau-Mlolongo ward in Mavoko Constituency. The constituency, also known as Sub-County, has four wards, namely Athi River, Kinanie, Muthwani, Syokimau/Mulolongo.

Syokimau has a population of 36,862 or 10,185 households, according to the 2019 Kenya Population & Housing Census Report.
